Handbag Essential | Grether’s Pastilles

The UK has been hit with a heatwave this week and with the summer months comes the dreaded hay fever, sore throat and runny nose! Grether’s Pastilles kindly gifted their Blackcurrent flavoured sugar-free pastilles to try out and I wanted to share with you what I thought.

Grether’s pastilles are traditional pastilles handcrafted in Switzerland and based on the 1850 recipe from England to soothe sore and hoarse throats.

Thanks to the carefully processed ingredients, they have an instant soothing effect on sore throats, hoarseness, strained voices and dry mouths. It’s used by celebrities such as Ariana Grande and Katy Perry! I love to sing (terribly in the car with nobody listening) but it’s certainly helpful when you’re experiencing hayfever symptoms or even just a dry mouth. I really noticed the difference shortly after taking one, my sore throat felt so much better.

The pastilles come in an adorable little tin which is perfect to pop in your handbag or keep in your car. They also come in redcurrant, elderflower and blueberry flavour. The blackcurrant flavour is delicious, it has a really strong flavour but they’re really hard not to snack on as they taste so good!

They’re available to purchase from allcures.com and for more information about Grether’s Pastilles visit their website here.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

  1. Thank you Jasmin for the cute read. I kinda always wondered what celebs might use other than hot drinks to keep them ready. I also love elderberry anything. I’ll keep this in mind for myself here in the states when the weather dries out here at the end of fall and approaching winter.
