February Beauty Favourites

As February comes to an end, I wanted to write a post on the products I have really been enjoying throughout the start of the first couple of months of 2020. It has been a super long month, it seemed to be never ending! I haven’t been out very much over the month so my makeup routine has been reduced down to the following products. I try to avoid wearing heavy makeup daily, it’s just what I prefer, especially when my acne doesn’t like makeup all that much. I hope to branch out into wearing makeup more often, as I have so many palettes and makeup that I want to use, I just haven’t found the occasion to.

E.L.F Poreless Putty Primer – This primer has been a cult beauty product and has been spoken about a lot in the beauty community. It took a long while for me to get hold of, as it kept selling out in the UK! It has a creamy texture and applies really smooth. It makes my foundation last longer and helps covering up those pores! It goes on the skin with a white tinge to it but once it’s blended, it sinks in and it really does make your base last longer (£8, Superdrug).

Spectrum Brush Collection Zodiac – I picked these up in the January sales, reduced from £70.00 to £15.00. Usually Spectrum comes with a pretty price tag, so I was pleased to pick up the 5 piece set for such a good price. I was very skeptical at first, as I wondered why they were reduced by such a huge amount. I have been using them for a while now and they are just as good as my other Spectrum brushes (no longer available).

Soap & Glory Thick and Fast – I go through phases with mascara, I don’t usually stick to one in particular, as I tend to just purchase a cheap one once I run out. I got this mascara in a gift set that I received for Christmas and I have been really loving it. You don’t end up with those dark circles after a day at your desk, rubbing your eyes and wearing glasses. I get home at the end of the day and my eyelashes still hold the volume (£10.50, Boots).

Paradise Primer Extatic – I have always associated primer for eyelashes to my young teenage years, where I used to apply thick, white primer under my mascara to produce the ultimate spider lash. I was skeptical when I first picked this up, but genuinely it does make a difference to the volume of my lashes. It’s light and you just need to coat your lashes and leave them to dry, before applying your usual mascara (£11.99, Superdrug).

Max Factor CC cream – I had never used a CC cream before trying this one, I was looking for something lighter than my usual foundation, for everyday wear. It is really light on my skin, yet still covers everything, I go over some parts with concealer but it makes the perfect daily combo (£4, Amazon).
