There has been a lot of positive reviews of CBD skincare. It is becoming increasingly popular and as my skin is particularly unhappy most of the time I decided to give it a go, to see if it made a difference to my skin.
I picked up two products from the Superdrug own-brand CBD collection, it also includes a cleanser and moisturiser but I decided just to get these two products, as they intrigued me most! These two products are now empty so I thought I would share my opinion and review the products.
Let’s talk pricing. The CBD 1% facial oil is priced at £9.99 and the facial spritz is £6.99, when I purchased it it was on offer and I used my 10% student discount, I’m always looking for a bargain! I would say for the products themselves… it is quite a high price point, especially for the facial spritz. However, I think the price for the oil is fairly reasonable, it’s lastest a long time as a little goes a long way.
The oil includes 1% CBD oil as well as a blend of ‘natural active oils’ and I put a few drops on before bed to moisturise my skin overnight. It’s quite heavy, so you need to use it sparingly. It made my skin appear brighter and helped with my dryness, for dry skin I would highly recommend it. I wasn’t using it every night but between 3-4 times weekly, as I think it’s a bit too much moisture for my skin type!
The facial spritz is expensive for what it is but I enjoyed using it! It has a fresh scent which isn’t overly ‘herby’ which I liked. I would use it in the mornings or over makeup just for a freshen up. I wouldn’t say it’s an essential product in a skincare routine. I likely would not purchase it again, as you can get much better sprays at a better price point.
Overall, these CBD products are good but I’m not sure I’m on the CBD hype at this point. I’m currently trying the Mario Badescu so I will be reviewing those next.
Hope you’re all well and staying safe in this crazy world.
